Definition of Inappropriate

Last week my little lad’s nursery asked all the parents if they had any scrap paper. I said that I would bring them a load from the LRC (Learning Resource Centre) at work. So – I rounded a load up on Friday and bought it home… meaning to have a word with the wife before she took it in.

Yesterday (Tuesday), I take Joe to nursery and am cornered by the teachers… ‘we want a word with you….’ they say.

Immediately, I know what it is about…

Our students at the college have an enquiring mind – and there are topics that interest some, that may seem inappropriate for a pre-school nursery.

On Monday the kids had all been excited about scribbling on this big batch of scrap paper that had been bought in. Unfortunately, some of the images on the scrap paper were pictures not very suitable for the little darlings to see. Thankfully, the teachers had spotted this before the kids had, and were able to filter out the less suitable ones…. which was what I had meant to ask Jan to do when I bought it home on the friday.

Oooooops – all’s well that ends well.

  1. Oops, at least you probably brightened up the nursery staff’s day for a little while.

  2. I do both, as I’m sure you’ve seen :) I can recommend a service called ping.fm if you want to do facebook/twitter/social network updates all from one place, big timesaver.

New job is wonderful, office is quiet and I miss the guys, but we’ve got lots and lots of sites planned for this year, which is very exciting :)
