yesterday, andrew and i attended the moodle user forum – a bit of a trek upto Newcastle (under lyme – not on tyne…thankfully).
they are ‘get togethers’ of other moodle enthusiasts from FE across the midlands.
the morning was a good session, 2 or 3 colleges showing what progress they have made with their moodle …it seems they all face (or faced) the same challenges that we face with the promotion of our VLE. spending time with these people makes you realise that others are in the same boat, and many have overcome the reluctance, or the fear – and are all moving towards much greater use, that is helping deliver enhanced learning for their students.
on tuesday we interviewed for a brand new post – an e-Learning manager… this is something the college desperately needs to help take us forward with e-Learning throughout the college. an interesting day, with some good discussions … i will let you all know the outcome as soon as it is confirmed.
i’ve said it before, and i will say it again – exciting times.
